Chinese Hospital is committed to providing a meaningful learning and service opportunity to all its volunteers. Due to the high volume of applicants and the hospital’s finite capacity, the following guidelines for Volunteer Schedules and Terms of Service have been established to allow these opportunities to be made available to as many qualified volunteers as possible.

1. AVAILABLE HOURS: Volunteers will be allowed to serve only during the hours listed below in the Schedule of Hours for Volunteers by Department.

2. SCHEDULE: Volunteers should commit to a minimum of 4 hours/week or total 50 hours within a 3 month period. A regular weekly schedule should be set and maintained, but may be modified on a quarterly basis, with the approval of the department manager and Volunteer Program.

3. TERM OF SERVICE: Volunteers should commit to a set term of service: Minimum 3 months, Maximum 12 months.
